PLANTERS FOR A PURPOSE

Help the Library’s Interactive Learning Garden grow!  Attend Planters for a Purpose on December 2 at 6:30pm. Join in other fundraisers now through December 4.

Planters for a Purpose is the annual winter fundraiser for the Kaukauna Public Library Foundation. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Library’s Interactive Learning Garden, ongoing programs and upkeep.  There are many ways to support this fundraiser in-person and online.

Planters for a Purpose Night is December 2 from 6:00-7:30. Enjoy activities for all ages, mingle with other library lovers, preview the sale items, then join us for a live sale at 6:30. The Library of Lights in the Learning Garden will also open that evening.

  • 6:00 – Winter Storytime in the library
  • 6:00-7:30 – Winter Crafts in the youth department
  • 6:30 – Planters for a Purpose Live Sale. Planters designers and volunteers will show off their creations.  The first guest to raise their paddle wins the item!  Take home your purchase the same night!
  • 5:30-9:00 – Library of Lights open for viewing

Starting on November 22, visit the Library during regular open hours to shop our “Buy Now” winter décor items.  Priced $10-$35, we invite you to shop and take home these smaller items the same day.

Purchase a holiday Take & Make Craft Kit, packaged for gift giving, or as a gift to yourself.  Purchase at the library or through our online portal Commit Change starting November 23 .This year’s kits include:

Create your own outdoor planter during a hands on class with Library Foundation members Kay Abel and Allyson Brunette. They teach recipients how to create a beautiful planter from start to finish. Participants will receive a large planter (red or gray), greens, ribbon, and additional décor options like pinecones and sticks to add to their creation. 50% of the proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Library Interactive Learning Garden. This event will be held outdoors at Hydro Park in Kaukauna, so please dress for outdoor weather. Restroom facilities will be closed for the season. Pre-ordered drinks will be available from 313 Dodge for the event and can be purchased separately. Registered attendees will be sent additional information about this option prior to the event. Sample planter included in promotional photographs. Cost of the class is $85
